About this app

SayNote is a voice notes app: speak, and it becomes a note. Instead of typing, just talk and it's transcribed right away.

• Just speak on the first screen. Your latest notes are right below.
• Speak and it's transcribed into text and saved as a voice note. No audio recordings are kept.
• Find notes again by list, calendar, search or star. Scheduled notes show up in your notes view too.
• Set reminders on notes, have them read aloud, edit them, or share them to other apps.
• If dictation doesn't work, you can type instead.
• Start a new voice note right from the home screen widget.
• Choose the look and text size.
• Export or import backups. There's no separate cloud account to sign up for.

Your voice notes are automatically backed up on the device so you don't lose them.

Notes are stored on this phone. There's no sign-up, and we don't send your notes to our servers. Depending on your device and language, speech recognition may need the internet, and your voice may then be sent to Google speech recognition. If Google backup is on for your device, your notes may be included in your Google account backup.

What’s new

• New: Floating memo. A small memo stays on top of other apps. Tap to hear it read aloud, long-press to add by voice, drag to move, or drop on ✕ to close.
• Floating memo entries are saved into one memo per day and auto-delete after 24 hours (on by default, can be turned off).
• New home screen widget: turn the floating memo on or off with one tap.
