A treadmill game you play by matching cadence. No watch, footpod, or chest strap.
Play Cadence listens to footstrikes on the belt and reads steps per minute (SPM). Pick a course, tap Start, and the target moves on the clock. Matching that number with your feet is the game. Watch the phone, or open YouTube / Netflix and play on the floating bar.
WHY CADENCE
A steady cadence — often around 170–180 SPM — helps many runners stay efficient and avoid overstriding. This app does not just show the number. It tells you whether you hit it.
HOW YOU PLAY
• Pick a course. It starts with a classic climb to your goal, a hold, then back down
• Start. After a warm-up the target steps on a clock
• Match the live SPM to the target. Color is the zone: on / near / off
• When you finish, the session stays: average, min, max, and a timeline
• Over video, the optional overlay blinks at the target cadence
• Use headphones for music or video so the mic hears your steps, not the speakers
• Mic sensitivity for quiet rooms or noisy gyms
• Audio is processed on the device and is not uploaded
QUICK START
1. Allow the microphone (and notifications if asked)
2. Allow “Display over other apps” if you want the floating bar
3. Put the phone on the treadmill shelf, aimed at the belt
4. Set the course (target SPM and time) and tap Start
5. Run on the main screen, or open a video app — drag the bar to move it, tap it to come back
TIPS
• A shelf aimed at the belt beats a pocket or your hand
• Raise mic sensitivity in a quiet room; lower it if gym noise causes false steps
• Pause or stop from the notification or the app
