Exceptional app. I have absolutely purchased the paid version. This app will get 4 stars when I receive feedback from dev for my comment and 5 stars when media progress reporting works. Wifi sharing is the app's exceptional feature. No other app does sharing as good. This is the only app I have encountered that can load an m3u file directly from any file manager which is truly great. What's more to say is that it reports tags and album artwork for tracks independently from the android mediaserver scanner.I don't think everyone would realise how great this is. You can actually get rid of the annoying mediaserver scanning completely! My main issue is that there is no media progress reporting (eg. pebble Music boss ) which is crucial in a way. The player I am currently using is Music Folder Player for that reason. If Soundseeder fixes the media progress report issue and implements a "file explorer view" playing feature similar to MFP, then it will be crowned absolute king. Media progress comes first.
Stick with the free version. The free version gets you all the paid version is capable of. Despite buying the paid version of this app, I have found it just doesn't handle more devices than allowed in the free version. Also, despite trying different devices, switching the seeder, and trying a million combinations of settings it will always disconnect and require a "force close" to get them to reconnect. Even on different WiFi networks. I'm sure the dev put in lots of effort but these bugs/incompatibilities with the high price and
Ehh needs improvement Love the concept. Use my old GS3 plugged into my speaker system, and stream audio from a newer device. Love the ability to adjust time offset. But it needs to be able to play from apps like Pandora, YouTube, and I couldn't get any RSS feeds to play. It works great for playing the mp3s on my GS4 but that alone isn't worth the price for full app. Once app integration or capture audio from entire phone, is a thing... I'll gladly buy this and rate 5 stars.
OK lots of features Not bad app but wanted to connect with more then one Bluetooth speaker without using an ip address so for that reason I'm out
It works as expected. I am extensively using it daily.sometime it needs to sync up and that option is also provided
