How to Access Cinema Soundbar and Fives, Sevens, and Nines Virtual Remote Capabilities

Cinema 1200, 800, and 700

Virtual Remote Control and EQ features require the soundbar be running the latest update. This normally happens automatically when the soundbar has been connected to the Internet, either via Klipsch Connect or Google Home. If your device has not been connected to the Internet, please contact our Product Support Team for assistance. See details below.

The Fives, The Sevens, and The Nines, including McLaren Editions

Virtual Remote Control and EQ features require the powered monitors be running the latest update. If you have not updated your Fives already, please download the free "Klipsch The Fives Updater" app. This will walk you through the update process. After the update is complete, all future updates will come through Klipsch Connect. Our Product Support team can walk you through the entire process. Simply reach out to us at:

i have a few Cinema soundbars, One power supply blew on one, however, I fixed, All three systems are buggy, cuts off when it wants. you have to unplug it. reset the power on it doesn't even have a manual switch. you have to try to unplug it. the system sounds great but the software in it buggy as hell. if you push the buttons on the soundbar they would just keep cycling through with no more touching. it will continue to cycle through until you have to unplug it. this is true on all three of them

We can't make it work. The sound bar doesn't connect to the app, and it requires us to unplug the sound bar every time we turn the TV back on. This means we also can't connect any other devices. We contacted customer support multiple times and kept getting sent a page on how to reset the sound bar. It has good sound quality when it works, but I can't get it to work reliably, and Klipsch support is little more than being shown how to use the self-help site. I'm going to switch to LG.

My auto on doesn't work. I have to go to Bluetooth on my device and select my speaker every time I want to listen. I wish the EQ had more than three bands. If it had a ten band EQ it would be amazing. But I downloaded a EQ app and use it. So the only reason I use the app is for volume control. You lost a ⭐for the 💩 EQ. And lost ⭐⭐ because the auto on doesn't work.
