A very promising app, but doesn't scale. After ~40 podcastsI could no longer manually sort them. The bottom ones could sort, but the top ones wouldn't. I also had problems with the "Podcasts" tab sometimes not showing after I added a lot of podcasts. I moved some over to the "Watchlist". Now the "Watchlist" won't load. It is also killing my phone battery. It's used 30% of my battery with 8 minutes of screen time and 26 background time. I really want to use this but it doesn't work.

This review is not accurate because this user did not understand that Wear Casts is first and foremost a watch app. The phone app supports the watch app, so you cannot judge the entire app on a few bugs in the phone app.

The developer is picking up Google's slack and producing one of two podcasts apps that let you download podcasts to the watch. My only two annoyances: 1) It is impossible to load episodes of some podcasts that are too old. You'd think this would be a deal breaker, but I have no other options. 2) The dev certainly deserves compensation, I'd pay $5-$10 once, but I'm not paying per year to unlock arguably basic features. Even with the dev's substancial and appreciated efforts to update the app.

I have implemented the ability to view your podcasts in the phone app. Update the app when you get a chance.
Again, increasing playback speed is under Settings -- Playback on the watch.

I bought a Galaxy Watch primarily to listen to podcasts while running without my phone. This app does the trick. Easy to import my podcast library via OPML, easy to download podcasts for offline seamless listening, I can stream podcasts that aren't downloaded, and I can import audiobook mp3 files and listen to them through my watch. The streaming is a bit buggy and streams will stop frequently but I found it works better if I disconnect from my phone and stream over data or WiFi. Love this app.
