Ratings and reviews

I was already on the fence about whether I wanted to continue shopping at Lidl or not. Empty shelves, quality of items dropping, shrinkflation, etc. It was all getting bad. Now this app is just the nail in the coffin. It's horrible, the points system is horrible. There was nothing wrong with the old app and this one seems like it's going to be collecting data just to sell it.

Unfortunately, I had to download this app early because the previous app just stopped working. I already am not a fan of this app because it isn't as easy to use as the previous one. Lidl is definitely jumping on the bandwagon of integrating AI into the shopping experience. I'm going back to support my local grocer for the easier shopping experience without AI trying to guide my experience.

7/4/26 standing in the checkout line. Old My Lidl app tells you to install the new Lidl Plus app. Can't log into the new app. New app requires a completely brand new account set up + verified. Cash registers no longer take the phone number associated with the previous app... and the cherry on top, the new app apparently won't even work until July 15th, 11 days from now. Everyone in line is confused AF. This is unquestionably the absolute worst product roll out I've ever witnessed.
