Ratings and reviews

Not once has WiiM worked after initial installation. Setup is always okay from scratch. The next day... always a disappointment when nothing works. Always something wrong. Usually it defaults to optical which you can't disable. When it does keep BT...no sound unless you manually disconnect and reconnect. Sometimes the only thing that gets it working is another full reset and setup from scratch.

Connections are consistently unreliable. I continue to use the Wiims due to their ability to be linked and play simultaneously in different rooms, but sometimes the headache of making it all work isn't worth it. People seem to dislike the HEOS software but HEOS has worked infinitely better than the Wiim software for me for years now. The cost of the Wiims is no doubt their main appeal but the software and connection issues are a major headache. This applies to the mini, the pro, and pro plus.

Very powerful but still easy to use. Very clean and consistent experience. Using with a pair of Wiim Pro Plus units. The only thing that would make this perfect for me is if there was an option to setup "Everywhere" as an option to use all speakers on a network when choosing Wiim devices through Spotify. Not a big issue for me personally but it would make it easier for the people I live with to broadcast their music on their own without having me do it for them. But this is a minor nitpick.
