Keep away from Sonos Have been a Sonos customer "from day 1" and it just keeps going down hill. The interaction between App and components is so slow you question weather or not you actually "hit the key". My speaker has actually been working well without the App until I wanted to change the station... App can't find the speaker anymore. Nothing helps, not even an App reinstall. Support cannot be reached made it 3rd in the chat queue before it was reset... in the meantime no more agents availabl

better than the desktop version with its poor click to action ratio and weird menus. still can't see file names (MP3 metadata only), which is frustrating for your own recordings. The lack of a podcasting solution is becoming increasingly annoying. It would be nice to have different EQ profiles associated with different kinds of broadcast (basically music or voice).

I enjoy my Sonos system a lot and I like the integration of streaming services inside the app. Although using the spotify app to stream music directly to the speakers and at the same time using the Sonos app to control the volume confuses the whole system. I can't change songs anymore, either with the spotify nor the Sonos app. The same thing happens often lately. Another thing to improve inside the Sonos app is a faster accessibility of the volume control of the subwoofer. It is suuuper hidden.

What’s new

Renamed the Sonos S1 Controller, this app supports systems that include the oldest Sonos products. Systems supported by this app will continue to receive bug fixes and security patches but will not receive new software features found in the new Sonos S2 app and will not be compatible with Sonos products released after May 2020.
