I used to love using Nomad, but during a recent trip, it has become extremely unreliable. First off, it cuts off the data with no warning before it is out. I had a 20 GB plan in HK/China, which stopped working when I only used 17. After adding on, the same issue happened again, stopping at around 18 GB. In addition, I don't believe there is any possible way I could have used so much data to begin with. Even at home, where my usage is much higher, my data numbers are lower. Nomad no more!

Good: They have a wide selection of plans, and eSIM installation is easy. Bad: When I activated one eSIM, the carrier force-downloaded a dozen or more bloatware apps, which I had to find and uninstall manually. Another time, the eSIM didn't work, and Nomad support determined it was corrupted. But they wouldn't replace it at the original sales price (the price has just gone up). Twice burned, I've switched to another eSIM provider.

It was great to use until last year. It is absolutely garbage now. Don't reach out to the tech support. They're so useless I could take their job. Slow to respond and wasted two hours of my time turning on and off in settings. Unacceptable. I fixed the problem myself. I won't bother to say how I fixed it. They did this on purpose. Don't bother buying their scam. They do not refund you.
