They have automated systems run by AI. Customer Service can't manually do anything. Anything goes wrong with an automatic financial assessment, like it checked your card before money gets transferred, or deposits happen on a different card than the one on file, there's no human oversight & they can't do anything to fix the problem, so the app will automatically say you aren't eligible and lock you out. You could have the all the money to pay em right back, just improving your credit, & nope f o.

So far I like it. It's really convenient. Make sure your account has the funds and there wouldn't be any late fees. Even though it gives an autopay feature, I have a reminder in my phone to manually pay it. Plus the app sends an email reminder too about when the next installment is due. I wish they accepted debit/credit cards so the transaction can go through faster instead of waiting on ACH. But I like it so far and it hasn't given any problems.

Poor communication. I split my rent and it worked well the first time, but the next month I paid back the remaining balance after 32 days, which disqualified me. The app says you have 30 days to repay plus a 15 day grace period. I didn't get any fees, but the point of this app is to be able to pay on a variable timeline that fits inconsistent income like gig work/contract jobs. It's not useful if you get paid the same bi-weekly since you are already able to budget fully what you need for rent.
