About this app

RailDocket gives solo freelancers a tactile way to track small client jobs right on a steel scheduling rail, completely offline. Your work lives as slim folded docket slips pinned by round magnet discs, so you always see what is open, what is in progress, and what has been settled. The Open Rail tab serves as your main workspace, showing every active job ticket hanging in order along the rail. At a glance, a frosted glass block displays your open job count in bold white numerals, while a brass embossed number shows the total amount still due across all open tickets. Just below the rail, the three most recent open job slips hang in view so your immediate priorities stay visible. Tapping the New Ticket tab opens a clean form where you enter a client name, a short job title, a status, and an optional flat amount owed. The Jobs tab keeps your full list searchable and sortable, so you can find any client or deliverable by typing a few letters and then tap straight into the detail view to edit what you need. When a job wraps up, you mark it settled and it slides over to the Settled tab, which keeps a separate finished list and your total settled amount for a quick record of completed work. You can create, edit, delete, and search job tickets freely, and every change is saved instantly to local storage on your device. The bottom tab bar uses four round magnetic puck buttons that move between screens with a satisfying physical feel, and the active puck pulls forward with a deep shadow and a thin brass rim so you always know exactly where you are. Empty states keep the workspace clear and honest, showing a bare rail with one faint dashed magnet outline that gently invites you to pin your first ticket. RailDocket keeps no accounts, uses no cloud sync, and stores all your client names, job titles, statuses, and amounts as plain text and number values directly in a small local database on your phone. Because everything stays on your device, your client notes remain private and available whether you are working from a coffee shop, a co-working space, or a remote site with no connection. The overall feel echoes pinning real paper slips to a magnetic board, but with the speed of instant edits and counters that update the moment a job changes state. For independent designers, writers, contractors, and anyone juggling short paid tasks, RailDocket turns a simple job log into a focused, distraction-free tool that helps you see what you owe yourself and close out every job cleanly.
