I'm not happy with MMR since UA bought it. They haven't improved a thing in two years. All new functionality is aimed solely at selling UA gear. That being said, I am pleased with the core functionality. But they've lost sight of their customers' experience as they single-mindedly try to monetize it.
This app WAS good. Recently an update has caused GPS not to work with android phone. Trouble shooting steps did not work. Without GPS to track routes I take this app is basically worthless. Update: it took several weeks to correct the gps issue I was having earlier in the year. Since it was fixed, its been several months without an issue and I enjoy using the app to track all of my workouts.
This is a great app if u ever decide to exercise. I didnt expect it to tell me hiw many miles I've gone, and when it started speaking I laughed. It would be like "you have gone 2 miles in 35 minutes and 21 seconds." I really like this app because when it speaks it sort of gives that thought "well I should keep running so that I can run in a shorter amount of time". Overall I really think this app deserves a five star rating!!
I recently moved to a new area to which I am unfamiliar. I decided to have a go at one of the suggeated routes, a large amout of it did not have pavement (not really a problem) but some of it did not have pavement and was a national speed limit zone. I'm glad I decided to try the route out in the day time or I would have had to stop and find another route back (as I wouldn't want to be run over) . I'm sure it should be possible to check the type of roads included with the routes.... The data collected was very good and it was prsented very well, the ability to share and save routes is great. Pros: Free Nice looking app Tracks running well Collects useful data Cons: Doesn't take into account time of day Doesn't take into account pavements Doesnt take into account road types A good app but next time I'll find my own routes that doesn't include zones without pavements.
It was a really handy app until they removed "trim" feature (or made it quite inaccessible). I normally start the app, start playing music, put my phone in the bag, lock the door, put the keys in the bag and start running. Vice versa at the end of running. Without trim feature, it's pointless to measure the time.
Its good when it works but frustrating when you've been running 20 minutes and it hasn't tracked your run because its showing an advert when closed. I often find it doesn't track rather well for instance it'll only track half your run or skip entire routes.
