About this app

Trim-Out puts field calculators and the quote-to-invoice paperwork for electrical, plumbing and HVAC work on one phone, with no account and no server.

Fill in what you know and every calculator answers as you type. When the job is sized, build the quote, get it signed on the spot, and turn it into an invoice from the same screen.

CALCULATORS
• Electrical: voltage drop and minimum wire size (copper or aluminum, 1- or 3-phase; checks ampacity at 60°C or 75°C, small-conductor limits and 125% for continuous loads), Ohm's law and power, load to amps and breaker size.
• Plumbing: pipe offset, drain slope, water volume in pipe, water heater recovery.
• HVAC: sensible BTU (1.08 × CFM × ΔT), tonnage to airflow, superheat and subcooling, round duct sizing.
• Tap "Add to quote" on a wire size or breaker result and it becomes a line item on your quote.
These use standard trade formulas and NEC tables. Always check anything that affects safety or a permit against your local code.

QUOTES
• Add labor and material line items as quantity × unit cost; material markup and sales tax apply automatically.
• Save a line item to your rate catalog once and pick it on the next quote instead of retyping it.
• Fill in your business card once (name, phone, email, license, payment terms, logo) and it appears on every quote and invoice.
• Have the client sign with a finger to accept. If the total changes after signing, the signature clears and asks to be redone, so a signed total is always the real total.
• Send a branded PDF quote, or share the quote as plain text.

INVOICES
• Turn an open quote into a numbered invoice in one tap.
• Bill the full amount or a percentage deposit, with Net 7, 15 or 30 terms.
• Paste a PayPal.me address or any https payment link and it prints on every invoice. PayPal.me links get the amount filled in.
• Mark an invoice paid and the PDF is stamped to match.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Quotes, invoices, your rate catalog, business profile and logo are stored only on this device. There is no account, no analytics and no ads, and nothing is sent to a server, so Trim-Out has no sync. Your phone's own Google backup can carry your data to a new phone, and you can export a backup file of everything from Help and keep it wherever you like.
