The Micromedex suite is a current, reliable, and robust solution to support informed clinical decisions with fast access to the latest evidence-based insights at the point of care. The impartial clinical content is updated daily and vetted through an accredited review process.

The Micromedex app provides Drug Reference summary, NeoFax and Pediatric reference, IV Compatibility, and Drug Interactions information along with a set of clinical calculators and access to the Micromedex Assistant.

App Activation Instructions:

To successfully activate, your device needs to remain online.

For quick and efficient downloading, remain within your facility Wi-Fi network.


1. Download the “Micromedex” app. The app will download to your app library or directly to your device.

2. Open the app, an activation code and an activation link will display on your device.

a. Follow the link from your app. Enter your Micromedex login credentials, if required.

OR

b. Enter www.micromedexsolutions.com/activate in your desktop browser

c. In your Micromedex desktop application, navigate to the Mobile Application Access tab and open the Mobile app access instructions and follow the provided link to the activation page.

3. Enter the provided activation code and tap “Activate Device” to begin using the app.

Ratings and reviews

I work in a hospital, I use this app all the time. It used to ask you to log in once a year, but it has been updated where you need to log in at random times. This happens to me about every 3 to 4 weeks. It is really annoying to be at a patient's bedside, and need to look up one of their medications real quick and then get a prompt to log in using a pass code on a work desktop computer. It says there is an option to log in via your work's wifi, but that does not seem to work at my hospital.

This app is basically useless to me now. It makes me put in a code every time I open the app, which I have to be at work to do, where I have the full desktop version already. Using it remotely or on a mobile phone has become impossible. On top of that, today, the site to activate it is not working, so I can't use the app at all.

It's a new app that's just as useful as ever, but the UI/UX is absolutely terrible. Everything is hard to read and visually cluttered—the spacing, the slight difference in font weight between headings and content, all make it confusing. The graphics seem to be trying to look modern, but they don't make the app any easier to use. Plus, there are still some bugs.
