About this app

DMSS is a mobile surveillance app with functions such as remote monitoring, video playback, push notifications, device initialization, and remote configuration. Devices such as IPC, NVR, XVR, VTO, doorbells, alarm hubs, and access controllers can be added. After logging to the account, you can use cloud services like cloud upgrade and so on. The app supports iOS 9.0 and Android 5.0 or later systems, and can be used with 3G/4G/Wi-Fi.

I went back to gmss because video playback wouldn't play on DMSS. I'm glad to see that's been resolved. Another thing I'm noticing is video playback crashes much less. As long as this is maintained, DMSS will be my app of choice. Of course keep improving the stability One thing I am noticing is the apple version gets more alerts. For example I have a driveway camera. I'll get alerts for tripwire for Apple that don't alert on the android version

This new version has great extra functions compared to the old one, but most of the time the app has issues. Way more complicated than the old one too, again, great that have extra functions but made it more complicated to use for "normal users". I install security cameras, mostly Dahua brand, for the people I've done installations was easy to use the old version, but most of them have problems learning to use this new version, that by the way, old one unfortunately is unavailable now.

The app is only in white, no option to go dark. The doorbell feature is broken; you get the call from the camera, and you can speak to the camera but you cannot hear back. The video playback is way better and the picture in picture is also a welcome feature. The app needs work so I will be regressing back to the old version until they fix this one.
