The app mostly serves its purpose, but there are a few things that I wish it would do better. Cons: the switch to Zelle is a huge letdown as the pay a friend program was one of my favorite features. A different financial institution's app allows me to control my card from the app (freeze it, set travel plans, set up push notifications each time my card is used, etc.), but this one doesn't. The security alerts aren't the same. Pros: Biometric login is great, and the UI is mostly user friendly.

I have used the app for about two years and it's always been reliable. Until recently. For the past two months each time I tried to log in the app would take minutes to attempt a connection, only to kick me out. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app didn't fix the problem. I log on through the ASB website and it lets me in quickly. I now go through my web browser instead. I don't know what happened, but the app now just sucks. I don't recommend it.

This was a really great app with unique features that most (and sometimes all) of the local competitors don't have. However, recent issues and errors just logging on to the app have been frustrating. It seems often features like pay a friend, mobile deposit, or even just internal transfers experience problems and aren't available for hours sometimes days. With the adjusted closures and shortened hours, being able to access the app and the specific features is crucial.
