Best I've used This is a great thesaurus for word junkies who like to learn and use colorful, descriptive words. Efficient, user friendly interface and full range of meanings and classes for each word offered. Options are categorized as hypernyms, hyponyms, meronyms, holonyms and antonyms. Full download available. The only negative is the ads that display after every 1- 2 chosen words. But it is easily worked around with a one time 99 cent fee for ad free.
'How' can it have..... "How" can a "dictionary" have words like 'how do ya do' but NOT have the word HOW? Is this word only used by English men while Americans must get by w/o? There are more meanings than just "how" we like to use it! I guess when a teacher tells you to "Look it up if you don't know what it mesns," we should believe it just doesn't exist.
The original setting was the real good than now. Its very upsetting that scrolling keep u going back at the start again when ur already farther. Scrolling again another word will lead u back again at the very ist displayed word as in "a" when ur already at letter "b". Unlike before that it lead that it leads u to the next words so search n reading is just continuous. There's this change after the update. Kindly please give us back the oldest version, so those new and coming wont sense this again plzz.
Decent, but no pronunciation, annoying ads This is a good program that has come in handy time after time. It does not have pronunciation, which seems like a basic feature, and is the reason I will not be purchasing the app to remove ads, which are so annoying I think of uninstalling every time I use it, as it forces you to view an ad that must be closed before you can see the word definition.
Not up to mark.. Meaning in limited words..have to refer in other dicts for better understanding.. limited or no sentence usage...and ultimate worst word of the day. Request to use some intelligent logic to select word of the day..feel irritated with seeing the word that we daily use for this. U can put a logic as per the users interest..for ex those who is an engineer will like to get technical words..or a doctor wishes medical related words..atleast choose some colloqual words that can help improving ones language..
Nearly exact copy, albeit rather broken of the Oxford Eng. Dictionary App This is the same app as the standard OED, the same exact ad interface and ads. This app smells rotten, beware downloading and opening it. I don't know if it's malware for certain, but I'm wishing I hadn't downloaded and opened it. Hopefully for my sake and that of many others, it is a safe app.
