About this app

Suicidal thoughts can seem like they will last forever – but these thoughts and feelings pass with time. Having a plan in place that can help guide you through difficult moments can help you cope and keep you safe. This safety plan is designed so that you can start at the beginning and continue through the steps until you feel safe.

In this safety plan app, you can customize your own warning signs that a crisis may be developing, coping strategies for dealing with suicidal urges, places for distraction, friends and family members you can reach out to, professionals you can call, methods of making your environment safe, and your own important reasons for living.

If following your safety plan is not enough to stem a suicidal crisis, then this app also contains an easy-to-access list of emergency resources so that help is just a tap away.

Great app thanks, it has all the important parts of a safety plan, great template, and allows fully customisable content. The links are great too. Love having a pocket version instead of a written version. It didn't copy from my old phone to my new (the app did but was blank), so it pays to have a copy or screenshots to copy content over (which I did).

This app is pretty good, the only thing I suggest is the ability to add more things to certain lists (the limit is 10), and the option for a dark mode. Other than that this is very simple and easy to use which is exactly what you would want for an app like this.

Just a very basic all user input device. You could get the same benefits from a notepad and the stack of papers they give you from going to a doctor for suicidal thoughts. The safety plan you fill in yourself completely. The second section is just useless cut and paste from a suicide safety manual. The last one is just 911 and the nearest hospital. I'm not sure what they wanted from this app.

Yes, exactly! We're a Suicide Safety Plan...just like the ones you get at a doctor...but on your phone! That way, you can access it at anytime, anywhere, and not have to worry about losing it.
