About this app

That photo is on your phone. The presentation is on your laptop. A friend needs the original video—not a compressed copy in a chat. Shared is made for exactly these moments.

Shared gives trusted devices a clear, private way to exchange files. There is no account to create, no shared cloud folder to organize, and no need to send files to yourself through a messenger. Open the app, choose the device, and send.

Pair once, send again

Connect two devices with a private, one-time invitation or simply scan a QR code. Both sides approve the connection before either device becomes trusted. Shared remembers approved devices for the next transfer, and you can remove one whenever you want.

Sending takes only a few steps

1. Choose a file in Shared—or select Shared from Android's system share menu.
2. Pick one of your trusted devices.
3. Follow the transfer in real time.
4. The recipient reviews and accepts the incoming file.

Nothing arrives silently, and a new device cannot start sending until you approve it.

Made for real files and real connections

Send photos, videos, documents, audio, archives, and other file types without changing the original file. Shared is useful for moving files between your own devices, handing work to a teammate, or sending full-quality memories to family and friends.

You stay in control throughout the transfer:

• See clear live progress
• Pause and resume when the connection changes
• Cancel from either side when plans change
• Verify file integrity before a received file becomes available
• Find completed transfers in a visual gallery
• Open received files with compatible apps already on your device

Privacy is part of the flow

File contents travel over authenticated, encrypted connections between devices. Shared uses a direct route when one is available and an encrypted relay when it is needed to keep devices connected. The relay carries encrypted traffic; it is not a cloud drive where your files are stored for later.

The camera is used only when you choose to scan a pairing QR code. Camera images stay on your device. Secret device identity is kept in protected device storage on supported mobile platforms.

Feels at home on Android

Send a file to Shared directly from Photos, Files, or another app through Android's share menu. Long-press the Shared icon for quick access to “Send file” and “Add device.” Local notifications let you know when a trusted device wants to connect or send something, while filenames stay hidden on the lock screen.

One familiar experience across devices

Use Shared on supported Android, Apple, desktop, and web devices. The interface stays focused on the same essentials everywhere: trusted devices, active transfers, and completed files. Both devices need to be online while pairing or transferring.

No account. No cloud-drive routine. Just choose who you trust and send the file.
Send files securely between trusted devices—no account or cloud drive.
