2 stars because it used to work quite well so I'm hoping it can work again. It's now been months since the app was last able to connect to the 622 dash cam. Tried everything, even tried a second phone and updating the firmware through the SD card. Will try a third device but that's pretty much pointless as it's not the phone that's always with me except to see if it can even connect at all to some device.

The quality of the camera and resolution are good. I'm pretty tech savvy but this app and connection are just terrible. Whenever there's an update, I have to completely uninstall the app from my phone, remove all connections, reset the camera, remove the phone then re-pair the phone and camera to update. If I ever needed a video in an emergency, I would be nervous it would happen. The issue is "wifi connection in progress" where it just spins and spins, unable to back out or restart app.

the BIGGEST problem is the connection issue. if I have my VPN on, it won't connect (which makes sense, and that's ok), but the app defaults to this "connecting..." type loading screen that I can't back out of to try and reconnect with my VPN off. and that loading box doesn't disappear even if I restart the app. I turned off my VPN and retstart the app and I can see that the camera connects quickly but that damn loading box covers it and there's no way to use the app at that point. fix this!
