Editing – Crop and share your Nextbase Videos connect to friends/insurer using the free MyNextbase Cloud service.

2 stars because it used to work quite well so I'm hoping it can work again. It's now been months since the app was last able to connect to the 622 dash cam. Tried everything, even tried a second phone and updating the firmware through the SD card. Will try a third device but that's pretty much pointless as it's not the phone that's always with me except to see if it can even connect at all to some device.

I don't know what happened. Connecting to my phone to get a video was always a bit slow but reasonable. Now it seems almost impossible. I just waited 20 minutes and videos still aren't popping up. I shouldn't have to take my dash cam into the house to connect to a laptop just to save a video to my phone. What used to take a few minutes now takes????? So if you're in an accident that isn't your fault and the other person is blaming you good luck quickly getting the video to show to the police.

Connection to the app is useless. High speed WiFi connection takes over an hour to connect or doesn't connect at all. Trying to update to the latest version for the 522 GW. It's never going to happen. I've uninstalled the app, factory reset the dash cam. And still doesn't get a high speed WiFi connection. These issues have been going on for years. It's about time nextbase had it sorted. I was going to upgrade to the iq 2k. Don't think I'll bother. The app for that is probably just as useless.
