About this app

NetLens turns your phone into a handheld Wifi survey instrument. Walk a space - an apartment, an office, a warehouse - and watch a real-time signal heatmap form beneath your steps.

THREE WAYS TO MAP
- Heatmap survey: hold the phone in front of you and walk. The rear camera supplies visual-inertial tracking - the same simultaneous-localization machinery that powers ARCore - so every Wifi scan is anchored in 3D by the phone's own motion. No floor plan to upload, no account, no markers on the walls. The map fills in along the path you walk.
- Quick Scan: a live AR mode for a fast look. Wifi readings appear right in your camera view as you move, with no setup and nothing to save.
- Floorplan: no camera required. Import a floor plan, sketch, or screenshot of your space, then walk and tap to drop readings and build a heatmap by hand.

WHAT YOU GET
- Live heatmap that grows as you move, color-graded from weak to excellent signal
- Filter the map to a single access point, or to one band (2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz)
- Adjustable map layers: heatmap, walk path, photos, and an underlaid floor plan you can fade to line up with real rooms
- Color palettes including a colorblind-friendly option
- Photo markers placed on the map and carried into the PDF
- Export a clean PDF report, a PNG image, or raw CSV samples
- Group scans into projects and export a whole multi-floor building as one combined PDF
- Extra live tools: Signal Meter, Channel Graph, AP Browser, Connection, and a Speed Test with saved history

PRIVACY
Everything you capture stays on your device - Wifi scans, photos, notes, and exports never leave the phone until you choose to share them. No account and no cloud, and no behavioral profiling or tracking tied to your identity. The only data that leaves the phone is anonymous, opt-out usage analytics (you can turn it off in Settings) and, on the free tier, the ad requests behind the banner. NetLens uses location permission only because Android requires it to scan for Wifi; it reads nearby networks and, if you leave location on, stamps a scan with a coarse position so it remembers which building it came from - and even that stays on the phone.

FREE AND PRO
Capture is free, with every feature, unlimited scans, and every export format. The free version shows a banner ad on the main screens and a small watermark on PDF and PNG exports. You can watch a short ad to clear the watermark on a single PDF, or make a one-time Pro purchase to remove the ad and the watermark for good - the same app, no locked features either way.

REQUIREMENTS
Quick Scan and the walking heatmap need a device with ARCore (Google Play Services for AR) support and a working rear camera. The Floorplan tool works on any supported device.

Not only one of the neatest networking apps I have ever seen, but even in general. This lets you map out your wifi signal on a per room basis, so you can end up with a full map of your location. The best part might be the other builtin tools like the channel graph, which not only shows what channel your connected router uses, but other routers around you AND suggests what channel is best to use (which matched my current channel choices exactly). There is also a connection detail page with tons of details and an AP browser to see everything detected. Super impressive app and I hope it has a great future.

Best app for wifi mapping. It is easy to use and works incredibly well. export to PDF and images are good. I didn't expect the process to be this simple. I can now confidently decide the location of WiFi router so that all my room has adequate coverage instead of trial and error. thanks to the dev.

This app is a bloody great tool to check WiFi signals. The quick scan and AR heat map is a phenomenal bit of kit that let's you see your signal strength throughout your building In realtime. I'm well impressed with this. Well done to the developer

I was nervous letting this thing out, it has quirks, but when it works well it's pretty cool - Have fun exploring the Wifi!

What’s new

- Sturdier AR scans - clearer coaching when tracking is lost; if the map jumps, the scan ends safely and keeps the good part instead of saving a warped room.

- Quick Scan speed test - result flags plant near your feet, with a clear stand-still reminder while the test runs.

- Much faster exports - big reports prepare in a fraction of the time, show real progress, and re-open instantly.
