About this app

Touch Blocker can intercept touches, taps, swipes, gestures, and any other input on your screen, so you can leave your screen on without worrying about accidental input.

Listen to YouTube with your phone in your pocket. Leave a chart open on desk tablet.

Touch Blocker is the only app I know of that correctly and fully intercepts screen input to lock your screen on and avoid swipes, system navigation, and opening the notification shade.

Note that Touch Blocker uses the Accessibility APIs in Android to display a screen overlay. Touch Blocker will ask for this permission in the system settings when you open Touch Blocker. Touch Blocker does not collect or store any data and only uses this permission to display the overlay as necessary to function.

Touch Blocker is open source.

P.S. for power users:
Other apps (like Tasker) can broadcast locking, unlocking, and toggling Toch Blocker via these broadcast actions:
com.nightlynexus.touchblocker.ACTION_START_BLOCKING_TOUCHES
com.nightlynexus.touchblocker.ACTION_END_BLOCKING_TOUCHES
com.nightlynexus.touchblocker.ACTION_TOGGLE_BLOCKING_TOUCHES
Block screen touches. Put your phone in your pocket or watch a movie.

The touch blocking works great and is very responsive. The app needs an option to activate and deactivate it from the notification panel instead of relying on a floating icon that gets in the way during normal use and appears in every screenshot. That's why I can only give it 3 stars.

Good news: This feature actually does exist. There is a Quick Setting tile to add the locking to the notification shade. (There is also the assistant button feature, but it sounds like you're looking for the Quick Settings tile.)

Edit to dev response. Thank you. It comes up (lock icon) when I press side button, fades, then an instruction comes up (double tap, so no touch block), before that also fades. Just wish it would do none of that, and was only switchable with the power button. BUT, I've revised my stars as this could still work when the rain is pounding my screen and upsetting maps.

Click the "Remove for Now" button. Then you can still use the assistant button to toggle Touch Blocker.

Not even close to what I'm looking for. Regardless of settings changed, this garbage phone constantly turns the screen on, turns the flashlight on, types in my pin number, and somehow navigates around my phone.... From my pocket. Never experienced any of this on the garbage S22+ I had. Need an app that hass a full password or something to even be able to get to my loco screen. or after the lock screen. The idea if this app is useless. Can easily set these settings on your phone, no app needed.

I really don't know what you're talking about. It sounds like something else is wrong with your phone. Touch Blocker blocks touches when you turn it on. It doesn't have anything to do with your flashlight or your passwords. You might want to have someone else look at your phone.

What’s new

- Fixed a rare bug that prevented premium unlocks from showing up when opening Touch Blocker on a new device for the first time.

- Fixed the settings UI being laggy.

- NEW: Much better touch blocking when using gesture navigation.

- NEW: Quick Settings tile to add and remove the lock button.
