Turn an unused Android phone into your personal file server.
ReCell File Server runs an FTP/WebDAV server on a spare Android phone, allowing PCs and other devices on the same network to upload, download, create, move, and delete files.
[Key Features]
- FTP/WebDAV file server
- User account and password-based access
- Shared folder configuration
- File upload, download, create, move, and delete
- Server access logs and status notification
[How to Use]
1. Install the app on a spare Android phone.
2. Allow the required permissions and configure battery optimization settings.
3. Connect the phone to Wi-Fi and, if needed, set a reserved local IP address or DHCP reservation on your router.
4. Configure router port forwarding only if you need access from outside your local network.
5. Keep the phone connected to power and Wi-Fi while running the server.
If your Wi-Fi router supports multiple bands such as 2.4GHz, 5GHz, or 6GHz, keep the server phone connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Connecting to a different network may change the local IP address.
For security, use a strong password and avoid exposing the server to untrusted networks.
