WrapApp - Empowering Survivors of Violence with Support and Connection
Violence is a public health crisis that disproportionately impacts vulnerable populations, especially young men of color in the United States. In San Francisco, the UCSF San Francisco Wraparound Project (WAP) at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) has been a leader in addressing this epidemic. As a hospital-based violence intervention program (HVIP), WAP provides intensive case management to victims of violence, ages 10 and older, connecting them to critical resources to rebuild their lives and reduce the long-term effects of violence. WrapApp is the next step in this mission. Developed in partnership with The Better Lab at UCSF, WrapApp is a mobile health (mHealth) tool co-designed with survivors of violence and their case managers to enhance communication and support. This app is tailored to meet the unique needs of both clients and Violence Prevention Professionals (VPPs), empowering them with tools to streamline and strengthen their relationship.
Key Features of WrapApp:
- Direct Messaging: Stay connected with your case manager through a secure, real-time messaging platform.
- Goal Tracking and Accountability: Set personal goals, track your progress, and stay motivated with the help of your case manager.
