It does what it says and at a reasonable price. The only downside is that it rapes the phone battery. It uses almost as much battery as the screen does! My phone has gone from easily lasting a day to around 5 hours if I leave it enabled all the time! It therefore can't be left on all the time, which defeats the point of having it at all...
I heard about using a VPN years ago. I didn't pursue it because I was busy and felt it would take too much effort. I was wrong. It took less than five minutes to implement Nordvpn. Having it available while traveling in Europe gives me a sense of security about my internet use that is really comforting. I am using on our computers and mobile devices.
It's a good vpn service. I mainly use these to view foreign tv channels, like BBC and European Netflix. This is one of the few vpns that still supports that feature. It's also good for private browsing. The app is easy to use. I'm not aware of a better vpn service, so if you're looking for these things, give Nordvpn a try.
failed in DNS leak tests consistently, connections drop suddenly without warning or notification and thereby leaking ip. I don't mind if speed is not so great all the time or if some servers are overloaded sometimes, but DNS leaks and sudden drop in connections without warning are serious flaws in a privacy oriented vpn. Not giving 1 star because of other pros of the service, but these concerns need to be addressed.
It's good, but lacks some personalized setting options like default server to connect whenever starting afresh, or an ordered priority list of servers to be connected from the favorites. Also it randomly responds with AUTH_FAILED even when credentials are correct. But the bigger problem is there is no switch to let it retry in such a case. It's logical that auth failed means retrying is futile, but then sometimes it's just connection issues which cause an Auth_Failed.
Can't update some apps over vpn. Some websites also won't load properly 😒. Hate some features such as map, useless. To get to servers that are close, I scroll to USA as list is alpha sort, thanks but I don't ever concert to Algeria or Bulgaria, so useless functionality.
This release introduces a way to inspect application activity logs and a capability to send them to our customer support team. A few bugs have also been fixed including some that are particularly relevant to devices running Android Oreo.
