You’ll receive a Novo Mastercard Business Debit Card and The Novo Virtual Card to pay for things online, around the world, and use any ATM without fees from us. Send unlimited payments and paper checks for free.

Novo supports almost any business operating in the U.S. As long as the owner has a social security number, they're able to apply for a Novo Business Checking Account.

Ratings and reviews

There's no customer service or support number to call and get issues resolved. That alone is worth a 1 star review. The website and app look great. Users are offered numerous financial management tips, insights, and suggestions. Those are useful if you want help, but they're annoying if you don't. Transfers take a long time. Novo may be useful to someone who is just getting started, but it's more likely to cause frustration due to lack of support and transfers/deposits taking a long time.

When things go wrong, there's no phone number to contact them. You can message them and hope for them to message you back in 2-3 business days. A situation can be easily resolved with a call and within minutes. Instead, it takes weeks. Also, they failed to reach out to me about certain matters and did things without confirming with me or at least notifying me.

The app itself works fine. Pretty straight forward. The banking services however are the worst. Check deposits take forever to clear regardless of the amount or account standing. They claim it's 3 business days, it's more like 5 business days (so be ready for at least a 7 day wait). They have absolutely NO customer support- you have a question? 1-2 business day wait for any replies. I would steer clear of them if you need anything more than a deposit account without easy/fast access to funds.
