Hello and welcome to On/Go. The industry leading, I-can’t-believe-they-made-COVID-19-testing-this-simple app. The On/Go app is here to give you peace of mind through the testing process. Instead of reading through a sheet of instructions bigger than a world map, we give you simple, clear, visual instructions at the touch of your fingertips.

Just install the app, create an account, and follow the instructions as you take your On/Go test. The app walks you through all the steps, from prep, to sample collection, to reading the results. The best part is you can store, view, and share your test results (only with those you want to share with). This allows you to easily show your results as you get back out there— from events, to work, to parties, and more. This app can be used with the On/Go and CareStart OTC Self-Tests. Overall, I think it is a useful app, and I like the idea of having a log of when you have taken the test. If could use a few improvements though. First, the date selection is frustrating; as someone who is 40 yrs old I didn't appreciate spending multiple minutes scrolling back through the years month by month. Second, it is also a bit frustrating that you can't do anything else on your phone while you wait 10 min for the test to run. Third, after entering my vax card it says the date is invalid.

The app is fine - it guides you through the process easily and has the all appropriate timers. Entering the birth date is fine if you tap the year and scroll from there. What I find annoying is the slight indication that you need the app. You don't. The paper instructions and a timer or clock are all you need. What the app does is give you a record, and I assume (I did not read the fine print) collect data, presumably to share. I dont have an issue with that except I'd rather read it upfront.

For one thing, this app is completely unnecessary just to do the test. It's just an electronic instruction manual. The one thing it is good for, verifying that you took the test and storing your results, it failed at! After getting test results, it instructed me to take a picture of the test device and it opened my camera app. Then as soon as I took the picture, it crashed!! When I restarted it, my history in the app showed no tests recorded at all. Checking the FAQ, it told me to repeat the test as a cure for this problem! I think not.
