Get family safety services — Roadside Assistance, help in a crash, family locator and Emergency Services — with the OnStar Guardian® app. No matter where you are, we're with you and your family – in any vehicle, on your motorcycle, even through your home’s smart speaker. Eligible OnStar Members receive the OnStar Guardian app as part of their plan. A standalone plan is only $15 a month. Plus, you can share the app with up to 7 friends or family members at no additional cost.

Roadside services provided by third-party providers. Roadside services are for passenger vehicles (cars and trucks) and motorcycles only. Limitations and restrictions apply. Towing services can be used four times per year then additional charges apply. Additional charges apply to tire changes when a spare tire is not provided.  

Up to seven additional individuals can be added to the “My Family” section within the app.

Select service plan required. OnStar Guardian skill and associated OnStar services requires successful account linking with Amazon Alexa, completion of a safety profile including an accurate and up-to-date physical address of the Alexa- enabled device. Physical Address must be confirmed and updated in the OnStar Guardian app. Device data connection is required. OnStar links to emergency services. Ratings and reviews

USELESS! Zero! My location tracking quit working. It had worked great for first few months. Contacted OnStar, submitted all info requested, kept getting emails from different people in supposedly different departments promising help, but it's still not working! Reports about this issue go back over a year with no fix. If you expect the app to locate and send help to a family member it can't because it locks on to one location and always thinks they are there! Never updates after this happens.

Unimpressed with the app thus far. Basically wants to use your location all the time so it's going to burn battery and doesn't even show the location of your vehicles (assuming you have the appropriate OnStar plan) so it's strictly for tracking mobile users from what I could tell. I'm sure it has its use for folks just want tracking family members all the time. I wanted to use his app to track my cars, not just people. Will uninstall.

This app adds no value, the setup doesn't accurately describe permissions required which sends you into a loop, and for God's sake, you don't need my phone position if the damn car has a GPS. There's absolutely no reason I would want you to have that level of information about me all the time in the background. Frankly if I could do remote management of my vehicle without Onstar over a separate paid connection I would because the 40 dollars a month I'm being charged is too much.
