Just stopped working for no reason on both of our cars. Last trip recorded Sept 19 for both my wife and I on our Galaxy S7s with T-Mobile. All permissions are set, full use of network, uninstalled, reinstalled, updated app to latest, cleared cache and data, removed phone and added again, updated app again, nada. However, completely shutting down any power saving mode whatsoever brought the app to life immediately. So even if you make an exception for this app in your power saving settings it must still be affected. Keep it plugged in and you should be fine.
I have recently seen the exact same type of drop in my acceleration rating as mentioned in the review by Old HangGliderPilot. I don't think my driving has changed. If anything, I have been more careful driving because I am somewhat competitive and trying to get the best marks possible. If State Farm is really serious about this app, better look needs to be taken. And please don't explain acceleration to me like you did in the response to Old HangGliderPilot. Also, I am searching for what I can do to improve my turn ratings. When I compare my driving to others, it makes me believe that the program, not the drivers, is skewing the data.
It only works when it wants to. Blue tooth on and it'll say, "trip in progress," once in at me destination. Sometimes it will stop just because I stopped at either a light or gone to the gas station before heading to my destination. I also feel that my discount is not being included to my bill
Even with a 3500 mAh battery running on a new galaxy s8+ on Oreo (8.0) this runs like a rouge app killing off half of my battery in 8 hours overnight! Mind you this is while it's settings were set to sleep while not in use; it activates itself while im NOT near my car without bluetooth or GPS on and slaughters performance on my device as well.
The discount it reflects isn't even close to what is being applied to the bill. The app doesn't accurately record information despite everything being connected and the app claiming it's running. It's also aggressively draining the battery on a Pixel 2 XL to the point where even on the charger it's draining. Probably going to bring all this nonsense back to my agent soon.
Like others, this app used to work, but hasn't recorded any trips since Sept 18. The tech support told me I was doing something wrong, but I have not made any changes. It just stopped working. I read all the FAQs and am doing everything right. Please fix this!! How frustrating.
