Two stations calling together is one thing. What about four, six or ten? OpenShack Pileup lets you practise pulling callsigns out of a CW pileup on your phone or tablet.
Choose one to ten callers, set the base WPM and listen. Stations differ in pitch, speed and signal strength. Add the sound of different fists, chirp, key clicks, hum and QSB to make copying more demanding.
Type the callsigns you copy and press Enter. A correctly copied station stops repeating, so you can concentrate on the others. Use headphones to take advantage of binaural stereo, which spreads the callers across the stereo image.
Adjust the run length, repeats and listening conditions. Review copied and missed callsigns after the run, with Challenge points reflecting the difficulty of the signals. Local personal bests let you compare similar runs.
Publish your score under your callsign if you want to compare with other operators on the OpenShack leaderboards. Choose manual publishing, a prompt after each run, or explicitly enable automatic publishing.
Pileup is a receiving exercise using audio and keyboard input. No radio, paddle or OpenShack Box is required. This app does not support Box input.
Practice and the included callsign list work offline, without an OpenShack account. Internet access is needed for online scores and website links. Settings and personal bests are saved on your device.
English interface for phones and tablets. One app purchase, no subscription. About links to help and other OpenShack CW apps.
