Avoid, if you have other options!! Like many others have stated, this card does help build credit. However, the app and company itself needs a major haul. I was locked out of my account (and still haven't been able to get into it) due to them needing to verify a payment made to my account (yes, payment, not charge). After several attempts at trying to rectify the situation by providing statements from my bank verifiying the payment, I decided to pay the balance off and stop using the card.

This card does help with credit. But the features of the app are very outdated. When paying my monthly statement, it takes days before coming out of my account. The app showed me that my statement had been paid, and 2 weeks later, I got an email from opensky saying my payment was returned, and then I got an email from my bank saying that my account was overdraft by opensky. I wouldn't recommend this card for anyone.

I applied for an opensky secured credit card almost two months ago. never received the card, but did receive mail about having a fee of $2 for having the card. They have no customer support number or email, only mailing addresses. I thought it was a safe option because Credit Karma suggested it, but I was wrong.
