This whole experience is hot garbage, an absolute dumpster fire, the recordings are pixelated like you would not believe it, the service is unstable, it crashes often. Overall, terrible experience and will cancel service as soon as agreement is over. Avoid at all cost unless you want a terrible experience. Missing the days where cable was actually worth it.

Telus TV does not allow you to watch recorded shows on any devices, even when in you are in your own home. And also note: The Shaw TV app allows you to not only watch recordings on the app at home but also anywhere else away from home. Shaw TV also allows you to do everything else away from home, set or manage recordings, watch recordings or live TV and also watch any on-demand programming. As of Jan 18th 2020. Optik TV has basically stopped working on my phone and tablet.

You cannot broadcast this app to a smart TV. Tried from both an Android and an IPad. When clicking the broadcast icon it says no devices found, but I tested it with YouTube and broadcasting to my TV works perfectly on both. Get it only if you don't plan to broadcast on your TV. I have tried it on 2 devices, a Samsung S21 and an Ipad. Both say "cannot find any devices". I even called Telus tech support and the agent tested it with his phone and confirmed it's not working.
