Most mileage apps tell you how far you went. DriveMeter tells you what it cost. A live ticker counts your fuel or electricity spend in real time, built from your own vehicle's efficiency and your local energy price.
LIVE TRIP COST TICKER
Watch your running cost climb as you drive. DriveMeter combines distance, idle time and your vehicle's real consumption into one number that updates every second. Moving cost and idle cost are tracked separately, so you see exactly where your money goes.
IDLE TIME COUNTS AS COST
Stuck at a light? Waiting for a passenger? Most trackers record zero, because you moved zero metres. But your engine is still burning fuel and your A/C is still drawing power. DriveMeter bills that time honestly. Over an eight-hour shift it adds up to real money.
ACCURATE GPS SPEEDOMETER
Raw GPS is noisy: it drifts while you are parked and spikes under tall buildings. DriveMeter runs a Kalman filter over every reading, so your speed stays steady in traffic and your distance stays honest in a city. Sub-walking-pace drift is treated as idling, never as mileage.
FLOATING METER
Start a trip, then switch to your navigation app. A compact floating window keeps speed and cost visible on top of the map. Drag it anywhere. Tap it to jump back into the app.
PETROL AND EV
Enter your efficiency in whatever unit your dashboard uses: L/100km, km/L, MPG (US and Imperial are different, and DriveMeter knows it), kWh/100km, Wh/mi, km/kWh, mi/kWh.
EV drivers on time-of-use tariffs can add peak and off-peak windows, including overnight rates that wrap past midnight. Each trip is priced at the rate that actually applied while you drove it.
HUD NIGHT MODE
A high-contrast landscape display that mirrors horizontally, so you can project speed and cost onto the windshield after dark.
TAX-READY TRIP LOG
Tag each trip Business or Personal the moment it ends, while you still remember. Add the fare you earned to see net profit per trip. Export to CSV or PDF, filtered by category and date, with totals ready for your accountant.
BUILT FOR THE WHOLE WORLD
Metric and Imperial, with US and UK gallons handled separately. 30+ currencies. Correct map coordinate handling inside Mainland China.
100% OFFLINE — AND PROVABLY SO
DriveMeter does not request internet permission. Not "we promise not to upload" — the app literally cannot open a network connection, because Android blocks it.
No account to create. No cloud sync. No analytics, no ads, no tracking. Your location history physically cannot leave your phone.
Check the permission list yourself. It is the only privacy claim you can verify without taking anyone's word for it.
Everything lives in a local database on your device. Delete a single trip by swiping, or wipe everything from Settings. Uninstalling takes it all with it.
