About this app

Ovomind for Galaxy Watch turns the biosignals measured by your watch into real-time emotion data.

This app operates in conjunction with the following smartphone app. To use it, you must obtain an Ovomind account and license, and connect to the app.

While a session is running, the app reads your pulse, skin response, skin temperature and motion from the watch's sensors and streams them to the Ovomind app on your paired phone. The phone forwards them over an encrypted connection to the Ovomind Emotion AI service, which estimates your emotional state as a position in a two-dimensional space of valence (pleasant / unpleasant) and arousal (calm / excited), together with an emotion label such as excited, relaxed, anxious or bored. The result appears on your phone in real time.

WHAT IT DOES

• Reads pulse (PPG), skin response (EDA), skin temperature and motion on your Galaxy Watch
• Streams them to your own paired phone over an encrypted Bluetooth Low Energy link
• Shows the estimated emotion in the Ovomind phone app while you wear the watch
• Makes the same emotion result available to partner products through the Ovomind SDK / API, so companies can build experiences that respond to how you feel

HOW IT WORKS

1. Install this app on your Galaxy Watch and the Ovomind app on your phone.
2. Read the privacy policy — the watch shows a QR code that opens it on your phone — and give your consent.
3. Connect from the phone app. Measurement starts only after that connection is made, and the watch shows a "LIVE" indicator for as long as it lasts.

WORKS WITH THIRD-PARTY APPS

Apps and devices built by other companies on the Ovomind SDK / API can be linked to your Ovomind account, so that your live emotion data becomes an input to them — for example a game that adapts to your tension, a music or video app that follows your mood, a wellness service that tracks how your day felt, or an in-car or XR experience that responds to how you feel. Which third-party apps you link is your choice: linking happens only when you connect them yourself, they receive only the emotion estimate and never your raw biosignals, and you can disconnect them at any time.

YOUR DATA AND YOUR CONTROL

Nothing is measured until you have agreed to our privacy policy on the watch and connected your phone. If you decline, the app collects nothing. When you end a session or the phone disconnects, all sensors stop and the data held on the watch and phone is discarded — no raw sensor data is kept on either device.

Your biosignals are sent to and processed on Ovomind's servers to estimate your emotion, as described in our privacy policy. We treat them as sensitive data, we do not use them for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell them. The emotion estimate — not your raw biosignals — is what can be provided to partner companies for use in their products.
