Car Scanner is a vehicle / car performance / trip computer / diagnostics tool and scanner that uses an OBD II Wi-Fi or Bluetooth adapter to connect to your OBD2 engine management / ECU.
Car Scanner gives you a bunch of unique features:

The app requires a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth or Bluetooth 4.0 (Bluetooth LE) OBD2 ELM327 compatible adapter (device) to work. ELM327 devices plugs into the diagnostics socket in the car and gives your phone access to car diagnostics.
Recommended adapters brands: OBDLink, Kiwi 3, V-Gate, Carista, LELink, Veepeak.
If you buy one of the cheap china OBD2 ELM327 adapters from ebay / amazon, then make sure it’s not marked as v.2.1. This adapters are supported, but they have lot’s of bugs.

PLEASE NOTE: Vehicle ECUs vary in the amount of sensors supported. This app can’t show you something, that is not provided by your car.

Attention "bad" adapters! We faced the problem, that some adapters (often cheep Chinese clones), can’t connect to the smartphone or the car. Some of them can even make your car engine work unstable, often lost connection, increase time lag when reading data.
So, we recommend you to use genuine ELM327 or recommended adapter brands.

Have to say I'm very impressed with this app. Works well with a Friencity OBD Bluetooth adapter I bought for £8! The free version seems to be enough for what I need it for but I'm thinking of upgrading to the paid version anyway for under £5 for life to remove a few limitations like only being able to view 2 data graphs and remove the ads though I didn't even notice any the first time I used it I have a regular scanner which cost £25 that doesn't provide anywhere near the data this app does.

Excellent app. This saved me a lot of money. I had an issue with my abs, I found a fault with the driver side abs sensor. Ordered in a replacement and fitted. Fault was still present. I used this app to monitor the wheel sensors and found that the replacement part was faulty and did not give any reading. Without this app, I would have had to pay for a diagnostic from thr garage which would have cost me an arm and a leg considering its a performance car. So thank you Mr developer. 👍

Exactly what I was looking for! Used this app previously with my Seat Leon and Bluetooth ODB dongle, and found it really useful. Unfortunately when I switched to a Corsa-e I found that the ODB dongle no longer worked at all. After a bit of waiting and a lot of digging through the app store, I discovered that you need an adapter for the ODB port on PSA Group vehicles - got one and the dongle then connected perfectly. Went back to Car Scanner, also connects perfectly and shows just what I want. A1
