Good music. Ads do feel a bit excessive at times, but it is free. The real annoyance is how the app automatically starts playing music the second you open it - annoying enough for me to uninstall it.

With 4 years of Pandora under my belt, the new Pandora Premium service ($10/month) doesn't get any better. It's a great move and seems like a direct jab at Spotify. I love that all my liked songs over the years ended up in one playlist that I can listen to whenever. I've always defended Pandora and always saw it as the better music streaming service. All the songs they play are tailored for me and it's a great platform to find new music. Keep up the great work!

I love it! Does not lag at all for me! It has all sorts of varieties of music and you do not have to pay to keep listening! It has some ads but very few only one every 10 or more songs or so. I suggest getting this app because it is one of the best music apps I have ever used! You don't download from this app but you can listen. All you need is your google or Facebook account to register for Pandora. The reason it has in app purchases is because you can purchase albums. There are stations for rap,hip hop, christian, gospel, country, jazz ,and all the music you have ever wanted to hear! Download now! Best app ever you will not regret it! It does require WiFi to listen though.

Usually the app is a nice one and it worked great. Then I bought the premium paid version and it will play like two songs then half of a third song then it will shut down cause me to half to start the app back up only for it to keep doing that. Great app but they seriously need to fix the bugs or I may just go back to spotify. Why pay for an app the shuts me out every ten minutes

I'm updating my review from 2011 and I love Pandora because I don't have time to build playlists and the "radio" portion of many other apps is pretty bad. My only issue now started a few days ago. I have the toggle turned off for explicit language because I use Pandora in the car with my kids and sometimes in my classroom as an award for good behavior. Then, starting about a week ago it just started playing album versions instead of the radio edits. Would be nice if it started working again.

I've had the Pandora app on my phones for years and never had any problems, until today. Now the app won't even open...it just keeps saying "waiting for connection." This happens regardless of whether I'm on my cell network or WiFi. If someone at Pandora can get their app fixed, I'll give it more stars. But at this point, I've uninstalled it on my phone. Sad, as I've always liked Pandora. Update... the app is working great now! I only gave it 4 stars though because I feel it would have to be counted on to work all the time to get 5 stars. I do really enjoy Pandora though!

It was really good but now it's giving commercials after every song some being up to 2min long. Pandora, I am not going to be forced into paying you for music, there are many apps out there that offer free music streaming with one commercial after 5 songs instead of everyone.
Update** As another user suggested, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. It now works as it should. I've used Pandora for years and never had a problem. Today, it basically reset all of my stations that I spent months, if not YEARS fine-tuning and played nothing but artists and bands I've never heard of. None of my songs, no one I wanted to listen to. Please fix this ASAP!
It recently wont open at all on my Samsung S8+. I try to open it and just says it stopped working. I have a paid subscription running because I love the no adds music but if I cant open it then whats the point?? Please fix this. Once fix ill give it a 5 out of 5 because thats what it deserves when properly running.

I think this finally puts you on equal footing with Spotify and definitely over Amazon Prime Music. I absolutely love all of this new and nearly unlimited access to my favorite or long forgotten songs, and unlimited replays. I'm going playlist crazy in addition to the radio option! I don't think I've used Pandora this much in months. Very very happy. PS: I've had zero ads since day 1...everything has a price people. This app doesn't pay for itself. If you don't like ads then upgrade.
I've had Pandora for a while and I've been loving it, I spent months listening and creating the station I've come to love. However this morning, it seems that my station has been reset. I haven't heard one song I like, or even any artists that I like. It's throwing new songs at me when all I want is the songs that I made this station for. Why did it reset?!!?!? Until my station goes back to normal all u get is 1 star
I pay the 4.99/month for offline listening and also get unlimited skips and no ads. For the most part I love the concept of this app. HOWEVER, offline listening is not the time to give me 50 songs I've never heard before! I drive 2 hours/day and I hate when my offline playlist only offers a handful of songs that just keep replaying. The offline playlist doesn't update regularly. I usually have to redownload them. Great app if you can stream with Wi-Fi or data, but long term offline listening for a road trip perhaps, has not been great.
I exclusively listen to Pandora on my work commute, but I drive a road that had poor cell signal. Recently noticed the "offline station" mode and I am ecstatic! My commute is an hour long one way and generally I'd be riding in silence for about 30 minutes because of lost signal. This feature needs a little fine tuning (it doesn't come on automatically all the time and I can't get to it from the stations list once I've lost signal because I can't get to the stations list at all without signal) but I imagine it will be cleaned up as we go along.
Update*** so far so good with newer update. Thank you. I worked for about 5 years on my favorite station. I missed it so much and cant get the same music on the others apps. I have used for longest time until the recent update. Now it will no longer play at all. I have uninstalled it reinstalled it logged out logged on everything, but it will not play. Please fix!
Main issue I have is I'll get in my car to drive somewhere, it'll play the last song that was playing, I may hit next, or just let it finish playing.. then nothing. I have to dig my phone out while driving to press a button that says I'm still listening. "Are you still listening?" YES I AM stop asking.
Love Pandora. Have been using it for years. However, now they added a feature that stops your music after one hour and harasses you about upgrading to Pandora premium. The music will not continue until you press still listening. Very irritating when you are in the middle of a long run. I may uninstall and use something else. I don't mind the ads to pay for this app... Don't stop my music! Very irritating.
FIX THIS Pandora It was a good app a few years ago but they are progressively having more and more adds with each update. And even worse is that they try to trick you with ads by having 2 ads atleast in a row after like 2 songs. Ridiculous!!!! Far too many ads. All people want to do is peacfully listen to music.
Pay for it or forget it. Sure, the song recommendations are good, but they are overshadowed by the immense amount of ads. There are about two ads every three songs! I understand they need ads, but this is extreme! I've been a Pandora fan for at least 5 years, but by the way they're behaving lately, I'm seriously considering switching to other online radios. There's plenty of other options that don't ruin your experience if you don't feel like paying for it.
SAD 😔 because you CANNOT player thru the Bluetooth headset! All you can do is pause. But forget skipping or replay. App needs serious work. Other than that it's promising but not yet equal to Google Play music or Spotify. Had the same issue with iHeartRadio . Not cool and not subscribing until they fix that.
I love Pandora. It's a wave of my favorite songs, new favorites, and nostalgic songs. I always experience an error where the app force closes any time a social media or messaging app is open, or any application for that matter. It forces me to not be able to check my messages or notifications in fear that I have to restart the app again and again. I'd happily rate higher when that bug is resolved.
This app is worthless. Nothing but pop ups while trying to select a station. Then it locks up waiting for you to click continue when it's connected to the vehicle blue tooth. Talk about unsafe. I am beyond over Pandora at this point. I tried to give them a chance but no more.
It's a great time pass with Pandora, exploring new songs. But the thing I hate is advertisement makes you sick. Everytime so many times ad's will appear it makes irritation towards Pandora. For every next song the song display changes to advertisement.is it really nessarry!?
So tired of the same freaking 200 songs. Way way way too repetitive and won't introduce me to more music, it just keeps playing the same couple of hundred songs that I was tired of decades ago. It says it recognizes music by type and will recommend similar but this is false! After just a few weeks I am so tired of most of what Pandora has played for me. If I say I dislike a song or thumbs down it still plays. If I say I'm tired of a song, Pandora thinks I mean just for the day. I am tired of it. Do mot play it. I have heard it to much. I am tired of it. Stop playing it. To pandora, tired of it just apears to be for the hour or day but I am tired of it. Do not play it any more let alone 4 more times this afternoon. Stop playing it pandora just stop.
UPDATE: This app is still garbage! The app will crash for no reason when I change stations saying "This station is currently not available. Please choose another station." However, when I do this, the same message pops up again. I don't like to sit on one station for too long due to the songs recommendations offered. I have at least 20 stations that I listen to and flip through on a weekly basis. This issue has been going on for at least a year now! When are you going to fix your app??
No way to go to a basic 'now playing' screen when in landscape mode on a tablet. Also, wish the buttons to skip or thumbs up/dn were bigger and better spaced. I have a tablet mounted on my dash while I'm driving, and sometimes I'll go to thumbs up, and accidentally push down or pause... Really want a now playing screen, though.... In landscape it just shows artist info for the first song that played when I opened the app, so 6 hours in its still showing the one song.... Only thing keeping me from switching to Spotify is that I like my channel and don't want to lose it.
I love the app. I only use it to listen to music. Though, I wish they wouldn't play the songs that you like so often. On multiple of my stations, I get tired of the songs I like because they're always played. I also think on statio s for certain artists, the station should play more songs from that artist. Besides those, the app is wonderful. I highly recommend it.
Used to be able to exit the app, but they took that function out. Now in order to exit there's so many steps I sometimes don't even open the app because I know it's going to be a pain to close it. Wish they would just put the function back in I don't see what the big deal is.
It only just started happening but a station I listen to all the time went rogue and started playing nothing but bands I'd never heard of and that did not really fit the genre of music previously played on the station. I haven't heard a familiar song or even a familiar band since so I basically have to trash the station and try and find a new one. So bizarre
This will be the umpteenth time to uninstall and reinstall this app over the last few months. Very glitchy. Stops or freezes play and never recovers. Last time I reached out to "customer service" and it took them a week just to reply. In there reply they suggested I uninstall and reinstall the app. Really?! Great advice. I've listened to Pandora every day for the last 6 years, maybe. And their decline has never been more evident. It's time to find another music player. Bittersweet.
So I've been using Pandora for years. And I haven't had a problem with it up until a few weeks ago. Everytime I use Pandora now the songs are always buffering. It's not my wifi connection, and it's gotten to a point where I'm thinking about uninstalling it. If there is a fix for this please let me know
App runs flawlessly for me, also connects to my car radio with no problems. My only gripe is the pop-up ads with a free account. The audio ads are expected and have no issue there, however I get the ad for a free trial of premium EVERY time I change screens and I can't close it without hitting my back button. Please stop. Then, the little pop-up ads on top of the album art has the tiniest close button ever, this needs changed too.
It's a good app, but there are waaaay to many ads. I even made up a nickname for the guy named Mike who writes a haiku about the wish app, his name is Mike-my. I memorized his haiku. That's not okay. 'Adreneline rush Cool kicks 90% off The wish app Is rad'
Not sure what the problem, won't shuffle, playing stuff not on my play list or related to it, wasted my skips and basically only playing 3 out of 15 stations. Not pleased, its like you are trying to force people into buying premium, which isn't much better. Hasn't played any liked songs, and playing stuff like barenaked ladies which is related to anything on my pksylist. If I could give a negative rating, thats how I feel after last update. Like I said , you are really pushing the premium.
It was great, until today. None of my thumbs up songs play, and I keep getting the randomest bands and songs ever that have nothing to do with my likes. Just spent my "uninterrupted hour" thumbing down song after song. When a thumbs up song finally plays, it buffers forever, then skips itself. Fix it!
Song selection needs to be a bit smarter...I thumb-down all Cx stuff, but it keeps adding them. And I understand the ad interruption...gotta make money...but the incessant pop-ups!! OMG!! Also -I listen to contemplative piano, and being jarred by an obnoxious, loud sales pitch actually makes me hate the product.
Had alot of good luck with it recently. However, this morning it had a stroke and now won't play any songs on wifi or mobile data. Just says its buffering. None of the buttons work to switch songs or thumbs up or down or replays, nothing at all. Update I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and now no matter what network it is connected to it says waiting for connection try again even though all of my other apps are able to connect
After skipping a few songs, refuses to play any station saying "station not available", even after uninstalling the app and downloading it again. If this isn't addressed I will refuse to continue to use this app. Have been having this problem for over 7 months.
What I think is I will never use Pandora ever again. I've been an avid listener sense my sophomore year of high school but now there's ads up the wazzuu. Oh and the Pandora one (premium users) is horrible. ✌
Latest update just goes black and doesn't work on my galaxy s5. Also doesn't work on my wife's moto x. Loved the app before it stopped working but it's been almost a month now and no change. Would love to change my review to many more stars but I can't until this is solved.
I've been using Pandora on my Samsung Galaxy note 4 for about 2 years, now I've had to uninstalling it on and off several times due to it "buffering" in between each song... it's a pain.. I have to select a different station of I want another dog to come on. Please do something!!!
