About this app

Counting a shotgun pattern by hand takes forty minutes and a marker. PatternPro takes a photo of the target, counts the pellet hits, and gives you the numbers.

Photograph the target, let the AI mark the pellet holes, then correct anything it got wrong. You get point of impact, percentage inside the standard 30 inch patterning circle, spread, pattern shape and quadrant balance, ready to export as an image.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Photograph your target. The camera shows a level indicator, because an angled shot is what ruins a count.
2. The app marks the hits. It will miss some and add a few that are not there, so tap to add or remove. The final count is yours.
3. Read your pattern. Point of impact, pattern percentage, spread and shape.

Automatic pellet counting is an estimation tool, not absolute truth. It gets you most of the way and you correct the rest. That is why the correction step exists, and why the number you export is one you have checked.

Save every target and compare chokes, loads and distances side by side. See which combination actually patterns best in your gun rather than what the box claims. Turkey loads, waterfowl steel, TSS, buckshot and clays all measure the same way, and the answer is yours rather than the manufacturer's.

Pellet counting runs on your device where supported, so it works with no signal at all. No bars at the pattern board is the normal case, not the edge case.

TRACK THE SEASON
Every pattern is saved with its gun, choke, shot size and distance. Watch your point of impact across a season and catch a drift before it costs you a bird.

ASK ABOUT YOUR OWN DATA
AI Insights answers questions about the targets you have saved: which load patterned tightest, whether your point of impact drifts, what changed between two sessions. It reads a numeric summary of your own results. Your photographs and your written notes are never sent.
