Rides - Hailing a PickMe

1. Fire up the app and enter your pickup location.
2. Enter where you want to go and get a fare estimate.
3. Select your taxi type (Bike, Tuk, Nano, Mini, Sedan, Van,).
4. Lastly, tap “Book Now” and let us work our magic to get you a ride.

Once matched, you can track the driver in real-time with the driver’s name, picture, vehicle type, and vehicle license plate number clearly displayed on the app to help you identify your driver. You can even share your ETA with your family and friends, so they know exactly where you are and that you’re safe!

I filed a complaint because one drive didn't pick me up and just started the trip and charged me. in the meantime I tried to change my phone number cause I want to use local number to avoid roaming fee. when I finished changing the phone number, all the activities were gone!!! the ride history, complaint record, payment... all gone. when I switched back to the old number, all things were gone as well.... I have no idea how to retrieve my record. very bad experience on this app

USE UBER! I tried to add a credit card to the app. It would not add but also did not return an error note. I tried a few more times before calling customer service. They promised to resolve the issue and to call me back within 24hrs. They advised me to keep trying to add the card. So I did. Then without warning my account was suspended permanently for too many attempts. Their customer service promised again to fix the issue and call me back asap, it's been 4 days. USE UBER.

I've been using PickMe in Sri Lanka (Hikkaduwa) for nearly 3 months now and it's been pretty good. It's a grassroots kinda thing so don't expect Uber-Limo type service, it's cheap, pretty basic but works. In one instance my location wasn't quite right and the driver gave up trying to find me so I walked 20 meters and the next driver found me straight away. I have always paid cash (I'm not sure if you can even register a credit card) and the fare asked has always been pretty spot-on.
