The Punjab Government has launched the Punjab Vehicle Inspection & Certification System (PVICS) mobile application to support the implementation of vehicle emission testing and environmental compliance across the province. The application enables authorized inspectors to conduct vehicle emission tests, record inspection results, capture vehicle and owner information, and issue digital emission compliance certificates. Vehicles that fail to meet the prescribed emission standards are identified and reported through the system for appropriate regulatory action. All inspection data is securely synchronized with the central PVICS platform, enabling real-time monitoring, reporting, and coordination with the relevant government departments. The PVICS application contributes to reducing vehicular air pollution, improving air quality, and promoting a cleaner, healthier environment for the citizens of Punjab.
