About this app

The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has developed a smartphone application titled “Rasta” in collaboration with City Traffic Police, Lahore to provide smart solutions to general public’s traffic related problems and queries.

This application will facilitate the citizens in various domains such as applying for license, paying challans, and planning driving routes. The app will also generate timely traffic alerts for citizens to ensure hassle-free driving. “Traffic Updates” another feature will allow the users to gain prior information on the intended traffic routes. With the help of Google Maps traffic updates, the source and destination points will guide users to avoid traffic congestion.

Whats the point of booking an appointment for driving linsence. I arrived at liberty office before appointment time they asked for appointment and entered my name on piece of paper and i have to wait more than an hour for my turn to arrive. They are so used to pen and paper desi system so much that even though system is online you have to wait as per the enteries on that paper. Rubbish! The app appointment slot system is itself flawed. So many bookings on same slots.

It's a totally useless app. For example I am trying to set an appointment for renewal of learner license, but "service down due to maintenance" since many days. You click on driving schools button and there's no data. Why the heck did they even launch an app that does nothing?

I didn't have much problem with the app BUT I believe this is totally worthless because on ground, the staff are confused and not coordinated: one day they turned me away for driving license renewel because I didn't have an appointment made. When I went on my set time, I had to wait for the officers who had their break and then join the queue.
