Very buggie app. It sends out notification that a news article is available, but when you click on the notification, it first opens the app to show that article, and then 2 seconds later, it blanks out and tells you the article is not available. Another frequent issue: you select an article to read, and it takes you to a completely different article. This app could seriously benefit from being completely revamped.

It stops working. I call and write to Politico and never get a response. Went back to Huffington post app. Update. The app is still a problem. Articles don't always load. You often have to open previous articles to open the article you want to read. The program also prevents my phone from going into sleep mode. I've had this app on a Samsung 7 and OnePlus. Both phones would not go into sleep mode automatically. If the politico app is removed, then sleep mode works

I have been really, really patient with this app, but I've reached my breaking point. Let me just sat that I love Politico and I love their articles. However, the app is, frankly, garbage. For months, I have been hoping that the Politico alert system would be fixed, but it has stayed the same. Every time I get a news alert, it appears on my phone as a black bar with none of the words generating. When I open up the alert, it often doesn't even have the alert and says it's not available. Avoid!
