Auto Camera Upload does NOT work as advertised, and it does NOT upload automatically. You have to open the app, and manually tell it to sync photos and videos. I really wanted this to work like Google Photos and Dropbox where it would upload right away, on it's own. A setting to control when it is uploaded would be nice too, like: Only upload when connected to WiFi, etc. I really wanted this to work, as this was the main reason I chose to pay for iDrive Online Backup vs their competitors. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
The best there is. Good pricing right now. As long as they don't sting us with the price in a year. Then this is large. Easy and works for all devices. Gives you sync storage equal to main storage. You can schedule, handle things individually or automatically. So far i have found nothing very taxing. As long as the u.i. doesn't get messy. Then this will be fantastic for storing and fir separating each device making it simple to know what's what. Yet also the ability to sync these devices. The deal i got was via the pc. SOLO SHOT FIRST
Auto Camera Upload feature is turned on but nothing is ever automatically uploaded. I have to open the app, refresh my files list, select the 'new' files found, and even keep the app open in order for uploads/backups to occur. It's not my primary backup source and I use it only because it's a perk of subscribing to IDrive. I strongly caution anyone relying on this as a primary backup to babysit the app for a few weeks before deciding it works reliably for you.
I like Idrive for my PCs but for mobile this app is so awfull that I keep google drive between my mobile. Everythings is too basic. Like how can you make a backup/sync app not able to select directories or what you want. Sync have no shedule or on wifi only option. Like many other said, support not very helpful. They probably been formed at Apple: "here it is like that, that's all"
Love the service but there is a bug with the Timeline on mobile that shows a blank version of every pic beside the actual pic. This doesn't show at all on the websites Timeline, only the Android App Timeline. So you have to go through twice as many pics when you scroll through timeline because it shows every file twice. Except the 2nd file is a clipart of a palm tree with same file name. Also I can not view any .mp3 files backed up using app, only their folders showing empty but if I log in with a PC I can see they are there from idrives website.
Works now but doesn't autobackup. Desktop version did same thing....kind of the whole point of backup software
Search option in other files.
Minor bug fixes.
