PsyMatch is a tool that helps clinicians in the selection of psychoactive drugs (antidepressants, anxiolytics and hypnotics, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers and anti-dementia) according to the profile of each patient in terms of age, special circumstances (pregnancy and breastfeeding), insufficiency liver disease, kidney disease, heart disease, diabetes, epilepsy and parkinsonism.
The choice of psychoactive drugs is a highly complex decision-making process and requires in-depth knowledge about the clinical characteristics of the disease and the therapeutic profile of the different options available.
The algorithm of this tool was designed to systematize the information through extensive research, selection and literature analysis carried out by its authors.
