About this app

The Raymarine App is the official digital companion for Raymarine chartplotters and connected boating. Use the Raymarine App to view and control radar, sonar, and chartplotter from your Axiom chartplotter display. Connect and monitor your boat remotely with the Raymarine YachtSense Link mobile router and manage your Raymarine LightHouse Charts right from your mobile device. The Raymarine mobile app also allows streaming and control of Raymarine legacy eS and gS Series chartplotter displays. Please note that Element chartplotter displays are not compatible with the screen mirroring feature.

Tech Notes

- For best performance, be sure to upgrade your Axiom, Element, or eS/gS chartplotter to the latest software. Visit https://www.raymarine.com/en-us/support to learn more.

- Mobile devices running Android 11 and a YachtSense Link system may experience sporadic connectivity issues. For best performance, we recommend updating your mobile device to Android 12 or later.

- Autopilot activation/deactivation is not possible via a mobile device.

- The Raymarine app is not compatible with non-Raymarine chartplotter displays. The Raymarine app is not intended to be a standalone navigational app.

- We no longer support Raymarine eS and gS series chart plotters. Please ensure you're using a compatible device for the best experience.

Ratings and reviews

In theory, the app could work OK. However, a lot of times, the touch functionality is being disabled after a minute or so. Meaning, you can't control the screen anymore. It states that another device is using touch control (not the case) or mobile access is set to Viewing only (also not the case, set to remote on MFD). Need to disconnect and connect again to gain touch control again. In addition, you need to connect to the MFD's wifi (fair enough), but then you don't have access to internet.

As reported by several users for a long time, the app does NOT work properly. After 10 to 20 minutes, it slows down and disconnects. I also tried the iOS version and had the same problems. The old version called Raycontrol, on the other hand, works great. I recently tested it on an iPad, but unfortunately it's no longer available for Android. I wonder why you would ruin an app that used to work well. I have the Axiom installed below deck, but I need to see it in the cockpit too!

a boat app that keeps asking for an Internet connection to sign in. then you have to change connection to the mfd WiFi with no Internet to use it... keeps loosing connection to the mfd. really is time Raymarine brought out a reliable workable app.
