I'm surprised by how many negative reviews this app gets. I'm using it with an external GPS and the RaceBox Injector app, and it works like a professional chart plotter. You just need to smooth the COG and SOG, and that's it. After adjusting the ship's dimensions, you get a display comparable to professional marine navigation equipment. I would say this is one of the best navigation apps available for Android.

I love the app for navigation as it has the 6min think vector/arrow indicating speed and direction, thin tracking line, internet AIS, and otherwise a clutter free map, you know that you're not missing anything (more safe regarding zoom levels). Customer support via phone resolved login/account issue after moving to new device.

I have used Seapilot during two summers for small craft sailing and currently it's my favorite boating app. PROS: high quality vector charts, NMEA and Internet AIS, GPX import/export, GRIB files. CONS: no other Finnish lakes than Lake Saimaa, no AIS vessel nationality visible, no Russian charts, uneven pricing of the charts, charts disappear when their subscription expires.
