About this app

John's Study Companion helps you read, listen to, and study your own PDFs and images.

Open a document from your device, tap a word to choose where reading begins, and listen using your selected device voice. Adjust the reading speed and voice, or turn off read-aloud when you want to study silently.

Study features include:
- Write, draw, and highlight without changing the original PDF
- Return to recently opened PDFs and your saved reading position
- Look up word meanings in the app or open a selected online dictionary
- Try text recognition on scanned pages and images
- Zoom and navigate through your document

No account is required. You choose which documents to open and share. Online dictionaries and some device voices may require an internet connection.

Text recognition, pronunciation, and dictionary meanings can occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate. Please check important information against a trusted source and use documents you have permission to access.
Read PDFs aloud, annotate pages, and explore word meanings.
