Reelang looks like a normal short video feed, except it adapts to your level of Dutch. You watch real TikToks, YouTube Shorts and other clips from the Netherlands and Flanders, and we add new ones all the time.

Start from zero if that is where you are
Basic Dutch comes first: the most common words, slower and clearer speech. The feed begins with the easiest Dutch it has and speeds up as you do. You do not need a first hundred words before it becomes useful.
When a clip runs away from you, Focus takes it sentence by sentence until it clicks. That is the whole game: Dutch you can almost always follow, with enough new in it to keep learning.
Dutch and Flemish, and you choose
Most apps teach one Dutch. Reelang lets you pick.
Every clip is labelled with where it comes from, so you always know which Dutch you are hearing. Moving to Amsterdam? Keep the feed on Dutch from the Netherlands. Working in Antwerp or Ghent? Set it to Flemish and get used to how people actually talk there before you arrive.
Flemish is not an afterthought here. It is its own feed with over a thousand clips. You will also meet Surinamese Dutch in the mix.
Smart Subtitles show you what to learn first
Not every word is worth your time. Smart Subtitles tell you which ones are. You see whether a word is among the 500, 1,000 or 2,000 most common words in Dutch, and anything rarer shows its exact rank.
Use subtitles. Then hide them.
Start with Smart Subtitles when you need help. When a clip begins to feel easy, hide them and listen again.
Some videos have the subtitles burned into the image. A normal player cannot take those off the screen. Reelang can. Hide them and you are only listening, not reading.
Same clip, same voice, no text. Little by little you catch words, then whole sentences.
Learn vocabulary where people actually use it
A word sticks when you hear a real person use it in a real situation.
Instead of working through lists, you meet new words inside TikToks, Shorts and other native clips, slang included. Want longer on one video? Open Focus: no text first, then a check, then word by word. Tap a word to keep it for review.

Reelang is built on videos people would watch anyway: funny clips, stories, street interviews, everyday life. Not a lesson dressed up as entertainment, but real entertainment in Dutch with the learning tools around it. That is why opening the app tomorrow does not take discipline.
