I've been waiting over 3 weeks now to get approved. Its getting ridiculous. This app was the first I've tried, a week after applying fir an account and not getting approved, I got 4 other investment apps have been approved for all 4 and am currently trading. It sucks that I have to pay per trade but I cant sit around for weeks on end waiting to be approved. Already lost out on hundreds of dollars of returns from what I wanted to invest in waiting to get approved. Its probably pretty good if you ever get approved.
This app is easy to use and cost you no more than you want to put in to stocks with their $0.00 commission and membership fees. The only complaint I have so far is the lack of a complete list of which shares you can invest in. You can search for stocks but if you are new to this you may not know what companies to look up.
Linked bank account. Transfered money to robin hood account. Showed a balance but no transfers showed in bank account. So I waited for transfer to go thru. A week later I was notified transfer failed. Now robin hood account is showing -30.00. At no time was a transfer even attempted in my bank account. So I'm being charged 30.00 for their failure. Guess this is how they afford no commisions. But ripping some people off.
So I was charged a $30 reversal fee on my first $10 deposit that i guess got frozen for no reason. I called to get it taken care of and they pretty much said screw and if u dont pay the negitive balance they send it to collections. So be careful
Hate hate hate to write this review but what can I do? 24 years and I've never felt more screwed over by a company... if a transaction gets reversed, double the money will be removed from account... oh and when you go to withdraw your 500 dollars it doesn't work and support is no where to be found... 10 tickets open, contacted via Facebook and twitter... if you value the money you work hard for, don't give it to these clowns :(
I've been using it for a few weeks and the app is simplistic. I usually do my reasearch using Value Line, Morningstar, or other analytical platforms and I use Robinhood to purchase and hold/track my stocks for at least a year. The UI is good and the instant deposits make it easy to acquire a stock immediately rather than wait for the funds to process via ACH. I'm not much of a trader because I don't want to deal with the implications of capital gains, but I've heard good things from those who have the time to do weekly or daily trades. Good luck. Do your research.
