Ratings and reviews

It is advertised as being ad-free. It's not. I tried to resolve the issue through their customer support, both with their bot and chatting with a person. It was worthless. All they had to offer as a solution was to go to the "manage your account" section on the app which offers no solution at all there. The only thing you can do there is cancel your subscription. My advice—don't waste your money.

Finally, we have a Howdy app! I subscribe to Howdy because I love movies. It leans toward older movies and shows, but also has a decent selection of relatively recent stuff too (ie, 5 to 10 years old.) But I love being able to watch some of the older (and sometimes obscure) stuff I haven't seen in years, or even at all. And you can't go wrong for the price. It's cheaper per month than the popcorn you'll eat while watching it, and there's not many subscription services that can say that.

The epitome of "shut up and take my money" but they literally won't. I've upgraded my Roku device. it's a smaller TV so it's now in the bedroom. I have a bigger TV in the living room. So if I pay for howdy, I can only access that content on my bedroom tv. Or a mobile device. Or a browser from my big screen. WHY WOULD I DO THAT? So now I have to buy another Roku device if I want to subscribe to howdy. WHY WOULD I DO THAT? I WAS LITERALLY ABOUT TO SUBSCRIBE AND PAY WHEN I DISCOVERED THIS. ✌🏻
