The Nintendo Switch App smartphone app enhances your online gameplay experience on the Nintendo Switch™ 2 and Nintendo Switch systems. With this app, you can use friend features and game-specific services for compatible games even when you're not playing! You can also view and share screenshots and videos uploaded from your system.

◆ Check friends' online status

You can check whether your friends are online and see what games they're playing. You can also choose to receive a notification in the app when a friend comes online.

◆ Use your smartphone to add friends

You can add friends via their friend code or a QR code even when you're not using your system.

◆ View your screenshots and videos

You can upload screenshots and videos saved in your Nintendo Switch 2 system's Album to the app, then view, save, and share them.

◆ Access game-specific services

You can use these services to view helpful information related to the supported software! You will also have access to a variety of features that will help take your online gameplay experience to the next level.

If you're getting this app to save your game captures to your device, don't. They made it too complicated just to save a few little clips. Took me thirty minutes to figure out how to do it, remember I can't save clips from Tomadachi Life (womp womp), and tried again on Uno for the switch only for the switch to require my phone to connect to it through wifi?? Not Bluetooth? Fix this, Nintendo. I want my captures! (other than this, the app is still decent, I sorta recommend it)

The Nintendo Switch app is a helpful addition for Switch players, especially for online games. It allows voice chat and keeps track of certain game stats, which is nice. While it could use a few improvements and more features, it still adds value to the overall gaming experience. It’s easy to use and connects smoothly with the console. Definitely worth having if you play multiplayer games on the Switch.

It's fine, but of very limited use. Works well for a handful of things: managing friends, seeing online status, showing some NSO game hubs, and viewing your own high level game play history stats. But why in the world is there no eShop integration? Why can't I manage my wishlist, check prices, or purchase through this app? Only way to do it is via a separate web browser login. I want an all-in-one Nintendo App. Not a Switch app, a Nintendo Music app, a Nintendo Today app, and a web browser.
